Ghostwriting and Collaboration
As a solo writer, I write extensively about entertainment and media. My experience as in ghostwriting and collaboration, however, covers a wide range of nonfiction genres. I work with book publishers, literary agents and individual authors on subjects ranging from politics, history, humor, biography, memoirs, true crime and narrative nonfiction. My previous collaborations include projects with New York Times bestselling author Jack Canfield (The Success Principles, The Secret, Chicken Soup for the Soul); top-rated, award-winning radio personality Ronn Owens (Voice of Reason), nationally acclaimed political satirist and stand-up comedian Will Durst; companies such as Columbia House, the world's largest direct marketer of music, DVDs and videos; and the memoirs Keep on Keeping On and Unfulfilled Dreams.
I am also a successful book doctor/consultant. I am recruited by authors and/or their agents to polish, retool or (in some cases) rewrite book proposals and manuscripts and make them marketable for mainstream publication. My credits in this capacity include the biography of the founder of a leading U.S. corporation. I helped the author rework his book proposal to make it more accessible to readers, and therefore more marketable to prospective book publishers. After working with me, the author went on to sell the project to a major publishing house.
I am a member of the American Society of Journalists and Authors (the leading organization of independent nonfiction writers in the United States), the Authors Guild, the Editorial Freelancers Association, the Bay Area Editors Forum and the San Francisco Peninsula Press Club.
As an established collaborative writer, I excel at developing material from my clients into compelling, marketable books that also capture their individual voice, personality and passion for their subject.
